Despite the number of coal mining tragedies we hear reported, it is estimated that more than 85% of operating coal mines in the United States have major regulatory violations upon inspection. Foreman Watson Holtrey is currently litigating a coal mine death case in which the Mine Safety Health Administration (MSHA) issued numerous citations for violations of safety regulations.
