Firm History

The law firm began as Foreman Watson in Owensboro, Kentucky, in 1994 when Jeff Foreman and Jim Watson founded a firm with an emphasis on real estate, corporate and transaction law.

In 2008, with the addition of Tyler H. Johnson, Foreman Watson began expanding into other areas of law — including family law and general litigation. In 2009, the firm added Hollie B. Lindsey to a new office which opened in Hartford, Kentucky, to better serve residents of Ohio County.

In December 2011, the firm name changed to Foreman Watson Holtrey, LLP, when seasoned litigator, Travis L. Holtrey joined the firm and became managing partner. With the addition of Mr. Holtrey, the firm began making plans for growth both geographically and to the scope of the practice areas of the firm.  Due to Mr. Holtrey’s extensive experience in personal injury law as well as corporate and small-business litigation, the firm began garnering instant recognition in Owensboro. By 2013 the firm began winning awards, opening new offices, and adding attorneys.

The firm now has seven Kentucky offices in Owensboro, Hartford, Bowling Green, Madisonville, Henderson, Glasgow, and Russellville. The firm has also expanded to Evansville, Indiana. What began with two attorneys has now grown to eleven attorneys, allowing Foreman Watson Holtrey, LLP, to handle a variety of legal issues. Foreman Watson Holtrey, LLP, truly exists to change lives in our community one case at a time.
