For the individual who chose to go one step further and click on this blog post, what does it mean to you to be a citizen of the Davies and Ohio county communities? State of Kentucky? United States of America? Is your place in the community driven by pride? Accountable Actions? Values beneficial to the empowerment of others? As read on learningtogive.org, “Today, citizenship requires that people be knowledgeable about public issues and possess the capacity to work toward solutions by acting together. History records voluntary actions by private citizens working together to right injustices, change directions and pursue benefits for the common good.” With offices in Owensboro and Hartford, we ask these questions for the purpose of what we feel is a shared goal of our fellow community members. It is our purpose at FWH to be a positive impact on our community by demanding accountability and making changes for the empowerment of each and every individual. This is found embedded in our mission, “To make a difference in the lives of people in our community by providing them with dependable legal counsel.” In our tag lines, “Caring Lawyers Changing Lives, One Case at a Time,” and in our actions as citizens, family members, customers, parents, coaches, board members, and volunteers. For you, us, and every individual taking part in the daily grind, this is our duty as citizens of this wonderful community. In closing, a recent LinkedIn article posed the following question, “What is the purpose of community? Is it just a matter of practicing and enforcing the rules or do we have a larger obligation to make an impact that can be undeniably felt, if not measured?” Our answer is unquestionably the latter as you will see in a new series of videos highlighting the members of our firm. The pride and thankfulness of being able to live and work in such a great area is truly why we are raising the bar at FWH.
